what is the operating system?
what burning software/ disc media are you using?

if possible go into the device manager and right down the name of the disc drive and model:)

operating system or burning software

are you using windows?xp or vista?.....a mac?

right click on my computer and go properties and select the general tab and tell us what it says under system you dont need to write anything else from that page as its confidential:P

when you want to burn what do you do? do you open some sort of device?(software) or do you just drag and drop through my computer to the cd and hit burn? are you using itunes? roxio? sonic?

I have Windows XP..wen i went to the my computer properties under general the system said RAW.

When i go to burn a CD i go to Windows Media Player and select the songs i want copied , when it says that the memory would be full i click copy. It'll go through the process and say that its converting all the tracks, then it'll say its copying the first track but only to 2% then it'll come up that "Windows Media Player cannot copy files to the recordable disc"

It did once successfully record the first song onto the cd-r..but only the first song.

The last time i tryed to burn a cd it went through all the steps above then after it said that it couldn't copy the files a tab popped up saying "The selected file has a scheme that is not recognized by Windows Media Player the player will still be able to play it but because the extension is unknown you should be sure that the file comes from a trustworthy source." I clicked play the file anyway, but it wouldn't.

Sorry i forgot to tell you that i also upgraded my windows media player but it still wont burn..it comes up wiht...Windows Media Player cannot burn the files to the CD. Verify that the disc is clean and not damaged. If necessary, select a slower recording speed or try a different brand of blank discs.

i think i may try different CD-R's if you think i should!?! Let me no!

emails are not allowed epically when varnulls subscribed to the thread;)

codecs dont help you burn the videos or music they only help you view them:)

i dont mean to condescend but maybe a easier GUI is needed:)

itunes is a breeze for the PC n00b and pro alike!
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93353

to add music to itunes drag and drop the MP3/audio file or
