The SYBA SY-VIA-150 PCI SATA card that I just got will install with the drivers I downloaded from via's site, but when I try to hook it up in NTFS dos it won't detect my 360 it does nothing. I also tried hooking up my main and only 200 gig drive to it in dos with no recognition. The lights on the via card have never came on. I have followed the Textbook.pdf guide until you plug in the 360's drive.
Should I trade in the card for another of the same or would there be a better choice?
My motherboard is a ASUS PTGD1-LA
My recently rrod Hitachi didn't give me a problem but this really sucks!
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I don't have a floppy drive and my mobo won't let me boot from usb. I have not found a dosflash16 boot disc.
Here is what I have tried.
I loaded benq ixtreme v1.4x12 into updated iprep and picked via 3*** or whatever from the drop down menu.
Created files in a 10 gig partition on my hd.
Booted NTFS dos
Typed
Return
Yes
Mounted 10 gig partiton ( E: )
cd IPREP_~1
got somethine like ( IPREP: ) so I guess I was in the iprep dir.
The tutorial said to then plug in my 360's drive I did so and nothing happened.
The way I understood the tutorial is that dos would then bring up a different screen signaling the start of iprep running.
Am I doing something wrong?
Should I find another via card?
Should I buy a floppy or new motherboard? (sounds expensive)
Is there a different software or a different flashing method I can try with my current configuration?
I've spent several hours searching for a solution.
Your help will be vastly appreciated.

On a tip I received. I plugged in the usb key and it showed up under hard drives in my bios. I flashed my benq with the same method I listed earlier except booting from usb instead of cd. It worked flawlessly.
