Forgive me for the newbie question but if I buy a new PSP with the newest firmware, what do I need to do in order to play downloaded games?

You need to switch to custom firmware.

If you have a slim you need a pandora+MMS

If you have a Phat, it depends on what OFW you have but having a pandora will be the quickest in any event.

Search Pandora OR CFW and all will be revealed
