In terms of quality, what is the best one transcoding tool for shrinking a full dvd including menus and extra features.

60GB Western Digital 7200rpm

I would have to say DVD X copy Express is the best ONE CLICK tool out there. It takes some time to get it working right on some systems, but when it works, it works very well. Another good-simple combination is CloneDVD working with ANYDVD. Almost One click, but gives you some options to edit. X copy about $70. Clone and ANYDVD about $40. each. Anydvd will also decrypt behind programs like Nero Recode and will help DVDshrink if it runs into a problem DVD. Just one persons opinion.

For the best compressed video quality (one step) InstantCopy 8 leads the pack.

I didnt commit myself in my prior reply. But I must admit i also prefer Pinnacle instantcopy. I am currently using version 7 (used in conjunction with DVDshrink & dvd2one)

You guys missed the point of the 1st post. He was looking for best 1 click tool. There are many better ways of doing it, but X copy express is probably best 1 clicker.

I understand your point Jerry, IC 8 does need a ripper first, but he did mention "quality" and that's where InstantCopy leads the pack.

What I mean by one click is DVD2One, DVD Shrink etc. I don't mind ripping a dvd with dvd decryptor and then compressing it and then burning it with Nero.

60GB Western Digital 7200rpm
Pioneer A03

Ok, since you cleared that up. I would say the DVDshrink-Nero combination. Or If you want to spend a little more money, CloneDVD and Anydvd together. With Clone you can edit like shrink and still keep menu active and working. About $40. each. Once again just my opinion. Everyone has their best choice.
