if you are using a x-over cable no need for the router - just connect cable directly between dbox and your computer.

Set your area. I did that and I got more channels, however they are all over the place and need the XML files to sort them but hey, atleast I have the channels back :)

Hi I have a simular problem with "flashing" a dox2. On this or another forun I was given and sent by post the instuctions with a CD with all the files requires(2) using just a serial cable. Ater doing what was required L get as far selecting "kermit" and I am supposed to get the following on the DBOX2 "loading kernal" but all I get is U-Boot 1. 1. 2 and not "loading kernal" help? I have tried the files supplied which are u-boot.mot and image is laky-pro-1.img or mtd4.img ;when using the first one it will not transfer any information and when using the second I end up with the screen showing ("Boot") etc
What am I doing wrong?

Hi there all is not well; after setting the dbox to cable= alluk scanning;transponders 376 and finding the all; frequency set by box various; area various; channel ident correct as the box searches when finished I get TV=285;Radio = 40; DATA 34; with the total 285.While the "blue" information is on the screen and the channel picture in the back ground the picture/sound are correct the problem starts when I select the "home" button to get out of the menu, the picture then rund for about 5-10 seconds and then freezes.when I test the "network" I get dbox *** is reachable but the others are unreachable? since I get all the channels I just don't understand why?I am using "Laky-pro-1" from Bigmaq which seems to work?
