Hi guys. I have a very important question ( maybe important just for myself ). I have a moded xbox360 . I dont know who flashed it , but when I bought it , I could play my games back ups on it . I said that , because I wanted you know that I dont have my drive ORIG.bin file . about 3 month ago , I bought a Died Xbox360 , I mean 3 dead red light. I bought it , because I wanted to use Its parts and specially its Samsung ms.28 drive . I know that this 2nd console was flashed and I dont have its ORIG.bin too . So Im wondering to know that is there any way that I could use This samsung drive on my xbox360 ? If someone know any thing about it , please send your help to my E-mail too, removed by binkie
What is your original drive.. If it's a ms25/8 that makes life so much easier.. That contains the only vital thing you need.. YOUR drive key! What the replacement has doesn't matter at all. The mobo is dead so the key has died with it.. If you want you can extract that firmware as it's probably right and insert your key that you will extract from your old drive into it.. then just flash.
All you need to do is read ALL the drive flashing guides carefully a few times.. read everything you can find.
Make sure you have everything you need before starting, especially the via sata board.. essential for the ms28 boards.
Hi guys and thanks . My first drive is an old Hitachi - LG drive . I mean its not 0078 or 0079 .The guide that I use for flashing is Hacking_the_Xbox_360_For_Dummies . But there is nothing about my problem in it. on another hand , when I tried to flash My samsung ms.28 drive (I have via Chipset) every thing worked correctly , I mean I got those 4 oks but when I connected that drive to my xbox360 and I tried a backed up game , I got that damn notice ( if you want to play this game , Put it in a xbox360 ) . if there is another guide for this thing please show it to me .
I asked this question from a guy that I know that he can do it . He said that you have to use win hex but he didn't say anything about how ?
I have a similar problem, here it is. I have 2 Xbox 360?s. 1st one had the rig of death, tried the washer fix (no good) the motherboard was dead, the drive had been flashed (by me) and I have the moded and original .bin files for the drive, this was working ok till the motherboard died. The 2nd Xbox I bought second hand had been flashed and came with the original firmware on disc(not sure if the original .bin is corrupt in some way), but had a bad flash and now only plays DVD movies. I have had experience flashing 360?s I have done about 10 of them done using the VIA SATA card. I understand that the second drive (from the 1st Xbox) is no good in the 2nd Xbox because of the drive key is different. I have tried to re-flash the 2nd Xbox using Xtreme boot maker and the 360 firmware toolbox, with all steps done successfully but no luck! Both are m25 drives. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
