hey guys im a real noob at the whole modding seen
i just burned fire emblem radiant dawn to a tdk dvd-r and put it in my drive
and now the wii is asking to update, and it has a warning, so i turned off my wii, im just wandering is it safe to update?

btw i have a pal wii and a pal fire emblem and a wiikey

You'll be ok to go PAL on PAL - anything else you need to read the main threads on wiikey and for general protection from region bricking there's a thread also.

so will it be ok to update?
i usually make my friend do all of this, the last update i remember doing was for super mario galaxy and my friend had a patch disk or something
ive also got big brain academy working
so is this update safe?
also would mario kart update my wii?

My last reply applies to ALL the questions you ask - PAL on PAL is ok and no patching is required at all. Out of region is iffy and should NOT be tried without patching. If your m8 had a patched SMG for playing on PAL then I'd assume it was the USA or JAP version cos otherwise it's totally unnecessary.
