I've just got installed d2ckey - yes, I got THAT chip.
But i have so much trouble with buring DVD.
First I thought I installed wrong, but one worked so I know the hardware is fine but had only 2 successes out of 20+ trials.
I'm using imgburn with 4x or 2.4x speed and tried both DVD+R and DVD-R disks. (I also tried Nero but no luck with that either)
imgburn burned and verified but it's just not recognized at wii!!!
I don't know what to do anymore, I already wasted so many DVDs.
Can anyone give me some insight to solve this issue?

Thanks!

I highly recommend verbatim DVD-Rs burnt at 2x (although you could go faster, I prefer to be safe than sorry). I have backed up about 20 wii discs and not had a single coaster.

I used TDK DVD+R and Sony DVD-R.
Two which were made OK were TDK DVD+R and burn with 2.4x.
So you think it's quality of disk?
How about +R or -R, is there any preference?
(if I need to buy new one I'd like to get better one)

Gravitate - it's a myth that slower is better generally. It depends on what your burning, how well the media works with the burner and Wii games generally burn better @ 4x. I had to burn one @ 8x when it wouldn't work @ 4x or 2x. I'm not saying that you shouldn't go with what works for you but some ppl are burning @ 16x as well. I'm going on what I've read from the majority. I'd always advise 4x regardless of what I use. I always advise Verbatim dvd-r (TYG03) even though I've been having great results lately on Ritek and other cheaper disks. My advice is based on what seems to be the most successful media regardless of burner.

Wii 3.2E w/ Wiikey 1.9s :: PSP 3.90 M33-3 :: NDS w/ R4DS :: Nokia N95

How about closing other processes such as Azureus? Being on the safe side means having only XP and burning program running.

I did closed all program even though I did not use that app.
It did not look like help.

Anyway, I ordered verbatim -r disk, will let you know what comes out.
Thanks for the help.
