I have a Cambridge Audio DVD55 connected to a Sony Trinitron KV-X2552U TV. I have a choice of a SCART to SCART link or an S-video to S-video link. The SCART setting in the DVD setup menu is RGB.

Ordinary, commercial DVDs play in colour using either the SCART or the S-video link. However, JPEG photos taken with a digital camera and burned onto a CD appear in colour when I use the SCART connection, but in black and white when I use the S-video connection. The same thing happens for the intitial DVD screen, that is colour and no colour in the 2 cases.

Can anyone explain how I can get JPEGS to display in colour using the S-video connection; the user manual is not very informative.

As a fallback position, does anyone have the UK telephone number (or postal address) of Cambridge Audio? They seem very reticent about this; there is nothing in the user manual or on their web site, a Google search was unsuccessful (except for a US phone number) and the online BT telephone directory drew a blank.
