How do you backup a 2 sided disk?

I am trying to back up a movie and it's on a 2 sided disk. I burned side one to one disk and side two to another. Side one works fine, but side doesn't work at all. Can I join these after I've used DVD decrypter? I have two files when it's completed.

I am waiting for a file to download afore I try it but I downloaded it for free from afterdawn theres a talk thru guide somewere as well

only trouble is I cant remember were I saw or downloaded it on the site
