Hey guys, I would have went to you directly but I wasn't sure if it was an isolated incident or if other members had the same problem, so I decided to post it here.
I was recently at my grandmother's house and she uses BlackICE as her firewall. That firewall however, completely blocks Afterdawn and I'm very curious as to why that would be. It is also somewhat hard to find how to create exceptions and even then its still hard to access.
i used to use BlackIce but that was donkey's years ago, i found it to be good at first but eventually i just found it to be useless, in fact i thought it was no longer updated

Maybe it parses out websites that contain downloads?
Interestingly I couldn't find anything from IBM's documentation for BlackICE that would state it even does any filtering of web content. And also noted that BlackICE has been discontinued as a product by IBM since last autumn.
But can you confirm that aD does in deed load _without_ the BlackICE running?

Yeah once I stopped the "BlackICE engine", AD loaded up instantly :)
i will agree, zone alarm isnt bad for free. however there are alyways other opportunites as far as firewalls go. i will get yelled at for this probablly, but i have been a norton man for 5 years now.
