pls can some body help?
when i plug my external hard drive in to the pc via usb,it comes up as with 3 diffrent drives,eg,(f)48.8gb (g)48.8gb (i)51.3gb all are ntfs.
why is this?
and can i just make one of them a fat32 so i can run it on my ps3?
It reads as multiple hard drives because it has multiple partitions. You can just right click one of them in windows and click format and choose fat32.

Then the pirate selling games relabeled Assassins Creed 1 and called it Assassins Creed 2. This is called marketing.
Your friend is honest and thinks she plays AC2 on a PS3. In reality she is playing AC1 on a PS2.
thanks anyways guys.
got it sorted thanks to janrocks and dela on the afterdawn live chat,
any one has the same sort of problems its very simple just to make one of the 3 partions it a fat32 file using swiss knife freeware which you can get any were.cheers
my question is that since fat32 breaks your drive into seperate 20GB partitions, to put divx movies on there, i would need the ps3 folder tree in each partition?
i take a usb and put photo, video and game and upload my divx movies into the video folder and they play fine.
if you wanted to use each partition seperatly then i guess you would make a tree on each one, in my case i had 3 ntfs partitions 151.3gb and 2 48.8gb and i only wanted one so i made 1 of them a fat32 and made a tree.
hence i still got 2(51.3gb,48.8gb) ntfs for my pc stuff and 1 fat32(48.8gb) for my ps3.
