Ok. I haven't been on the PSP scene for a while, and right now, I have a PSP PHAT with 3.71 m33-4.
I don't really want to upgrade at all- not to 3.80 or 3.90, because my PSX Games and Emulators have been working PERFECTLY with this specific firmware- and it seems very stable also.
What I do have on my PSP also is a custom theme: SCHMEDIA SHCENTER... or something of that sort.
The thing is that I uploaded it so long ago, I don't have my old FLASH0 or whatever else I edited to get it. I also wanted to upload this other 3.71 theme: dAlbumOS
What I need is to know how to get rid of my current theme and upload this new one.
I know I am going to have to edit my flash0, but I don't know what to edit, if I need to edit anything else, and if I could end up with a flash corruption if I don't use files from my own PSP.
Oh, and I also wanted to know that, once I get the new theme, if I would be able to get a custom waveset... I know this was very possible on 3.52m33, but you can not edit the flash0 as freely on 3.71m33, so I wouldn't want to risk it.
Anyways... thanks for reading, and any kind of help you can give me is GREATLY appreciated.
Originally posted by Dr1ver: what you need to do is copy all the new theme over the old one and it should be fine. make sure you dont delete the file just copy over them.
with the wave i think there all the same for each fw so you can put any wave on.
Hmm... are you sure I don't need to put on the original 3.71 flash0?
I was just thinking... What if the new theme doesn't have the same files as the previous ones... They might accidentally be mixed and the theme could be messed up.
Would it be safe or safer to reupload a flash0 from someone else?
yeah Dr1ver is right... all you have to do is replace the files, no it do not mixed otherwise you fully custom your theme by mixing different files from different themes... as you are saying, you have to replace your original F0 before you do the custom theme, for me its kinda waste of time...
