ello gents

I have been using dvd shrink and noticed something different. i had it encode the dvd into a ISO file but instead of one file it made 5 I0 files and one mds file

disc1.I00
disc1.I02
disc1.I03
disc1.I03
disc1.I04
disc1.mds

But then on my laptop, i used a different dvd file and it made just one file dvd.iso but i used the exact same options and settings as on my desktop.

Please explain

thanx

i wonder if the "working folder" is on fat32?

an mds is a sort of text file which tells burning software what to do with the other files listed. (simarlar to an ISO)

fat32 cant handle files bigger than 4gig, but it can in files of 1 gig each say, (your other 5) as in 4.36 gig (a dvd size project) ready for burning on fat32

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Yup, thats what it did, each file is 1gb and the last one if 368mb. Thats on the USB hdd.

I forgot about the whole fat32 size limitations.

I think thats what it is. Its the only thing it can be.

Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Hopefully i will remember that.
