I have been using DVD Shrink for about a year and began having this problem two days ago. After I open the program and click "Open Disk" the program runs ok until it hits 21%. The the program stops and does not progress from there. After a while an error will show saying Failed to read file "E:\" The request could not be performed because of and I/O device error.

Shrink is still a great app for transcoding, but not quite enough to rip these new encryptions.
Zoso's thread will get you heading in the right direction.

I sort of have the same problem
i think its is because of the disc anyway, I have downloaded DVD43
Which is like DVDFab, but a little different
And anyway when I go to analyse/encoding the disc
It says
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Failed to read file "E:\"
Data Error (cyclic redunacy check)
Please Help

Down load Imgburn instead (free) from www.imgburn.com
Mode build (create iso)
Mode write burn iso file
or output shrink file as iso, then burn with imgburn ( imgburn better than dvd decrypter, also same author, so it is the good stuff)
