Can someone please tell me what to do? I want to play .cso files, but I don't know what to do. Am I supposed to download custom firmware? If so, how do I put the custom firmware on my PSP?

read THIS guide. it tells you exactly what to do to get custom firmware. there are NO alternatives.

It says right in the guide you either have to buy a Pandora Battery or hardmod a regular battery to do the same functions.

Here's a guide on how to mod a battery.

There are no alternatives. You need pandora battery so if you aren't capable of hard modding a battery you will have to buy one.
