Hi All,

Another request for help. Im sorry the topic has been discussed so many times on this forum but Im still stuck with this and would appreciate any help.

Please do forgive the ignorance as Im quiet new to this. Ive a PS2 Slim with a mod chip and I've been trying to hook up an external HDD and boot games from the HDD. When using USB Extreme, it gives me an error message that "Source Drive is Invalid". Im not sure why this happens becasue the windows is otherwise able to read the disk without any problems.

I also tried USB Insane and when I choose the hard drive, which by the way has drive letter F: I again get an error message " could not open file ul.cfg" and if I still go ahead with the RIP command, the program just shuts down and the microsoft error reporting window opens up.

I also tried to install the game on DOS mode, but again I get the same message "Source Drive is invalid". It gives read error and tries again and after a couple of trials it gives up and flashes the above error message.

Ive gone thru all the posts and forums, but havent been able to a satisfactory reply, so any help that you guys can provide will be appreciated. Im using a WD 160 GB HDD and is formatted to FAT. Please do feel free to ask me if anything further is required.

Thanks

Just to add on to this, I also tried mounting a .iso file to a virtual drive using alcohol 120, but again I get the same error message "source Drive is Invalid" but the game did install when I used USB Insane with the .iso image, though it did throw out and error message "could not open ul.cfg file". But after installing when I connected the HDD to PS2 I could see the game in the list but when I try to start the game it say "loading please wait" and hangs and this point and Ive to reset the console again........Just an info if this will help..............
