I need help connecting my ps2 to the internet.

Im desperate to connect my PS2 slimline to the internet. I'v looked everywhere for tips and stuff but nothing fits my situation. I have a USB speedtouch orange modem. What technique do I need to use. I'v even bought a USB to RJ45 cable but nothing seems to work. I'v got loads of online games with network access discs on them but it always says connection failed.

ok this is the easiest thing in the world it to get the ps2 internet setup disk for ps2!!!!!!!!!!!omg its that easy!!!!!!!!

yes, iv done all that.iv got a network access disc. (its on such games as star wars battlefront 2 and eyetoy chat. iv connected the cables enough times in all the ways possible. i di have a usb to ethernet cable but that dosnt do anything. can someone give me a walkthrough of how to do it.

You need a crossover cable if your going directly from your PC to the PS2.

It basically looks the same but the wiring inside is different.

Any local computer shop, Circuit City etc should have one.

Just ask for a crossover cable.

I see. i have actualy got one of those and have been trying to use it everyway possible to connect it but nothing happens. there must be something im missing out on.

Not sure either what it could be unless its the USB modem itself giving the problem.

Have you followed all the steps like in this tutorial , scroll down to Using a crossover cable
