i was recently thinking about flashing my xbox to play burned games, and almost jumped into doing it, but heard you can be banned from xbox live....
1. is this true, can you really get banned?
2. can microsoft know if you have a flashed xbox 360 and if you are playing burned games? how?
3. what are my chances of getting caught, considering i only play xbox live?
4. is there any way to avoid it?

1. yes, you can get banned for a flashed drive or a modchip system.
2. yes, they know. the system itself (not the hard drive) will make a log of games you play, and will note if it's an original or backup. once you log into LIVE, that log is sent to microsoft.
3. once you log into LIVE with a flashed drive and have played backup games, it's only a matter of time.
4. no way out of it with a flashed/modchip system. only systems that have not been touched can stay on LIVE with no problems. some people have two systems; one flashed/chipped for all regular gaming, the second strictly for LIVE.
