Burners capable of correctly performing EFM (eight-fourteen modulation) are designated as 2-sheep burners. Burners that can almost perform correct EFM are designated as 1-sheep burners. Last on the totem pole, 0-sheep burners cant perform EFM properly at all. For a partial list of 2-sheep burners, visit http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/45121

The plexy should be a 2-sheeper

Looks to me as if this is the LiteOn LTR-523275= "2 sheep burner".

The Plex Premium has the big advantage simply because this drive writes VariRec technology for SecuROM. No other burner on the market uses VariRec.
The other write method is TwinPeak.

Thats sound, i'll use my free overdraft for the plextor,(hopefully) i meant the LTR-52327S is a 2sheep not the 75, my laptop wont recognise my copy of either GTA3 or Vice city, which are safe disc and secuROM my laptop wont let me play these, copies, install nut not play,i installed clone CD but that didnt really, thats why i thought i 2sheep would be better then, its a perfect 1:1, i've heard about generic patches to allow 1-sheep copies to play?

Did you create a "play disc"(bwa file included in the folder where you saved the image of cd 2)? You should have 3 backups of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, two labeled "install disc" and one labeled "play disc".
The cd volume character for disc 2 I believe is VICE_CITY_PLAY

i was mistaken, my laptop wouldnt play GTA3 that i copied, i did copy vice city using blindwrite and the BWA file, either off the net or i made one, either way it works in my desktop so not to worry, ill try it later and find a thread if i have troubles, but do you need patches programs to play copies from a 1-sheep burner? i've read about having to have cloneCD or other programs to allow the playback of fakes, autoplay or something?

In general no as you would use emulation such as CloneCD's "hide cd-r" or Alcohol 120 "ignore media type" and play backups of Safedisc 2.51-3.10 in your cd burner. For SecuROM 4.83-4.84 it's just a matter of creating (or downloading) a good working bwa file as all you need is a rom that can read sub-q channel data. If these methods don't succeed you can use Daemon Tools as an alternative, a virtual stealth drive emulater.
