Madcatz HD VGA cable...

I've got hold of a Madcatz HD VGA Cable but I've been told if I open the packaging I won't be refunded for the product.

I'm trying to hook up my 360 to my 19 inch 1440x900 monitor but I've heard the Madcatz VGA cable isn't very good and has several issues.

I'm wondering if I should replace the cable with the official one from Microsoft or just use this one.

Anybody have any relative experiences or good advice?

You already have doubt in mind, so go with your gut feeling and change the cable for a better one.
You only get what you pay for.
If you think this cable is rubbish change now before opening
