I keep getting that message whenever I try to play backups of any kind. I just installed a switch on my wiikey and ever since, if I try to play the backup right straight, I get that error. I have to eject the disc, turn off the power, and then turn off and turn on my wiikey in order for the message not to appear. I have no idea why it's happening.
I have similar problems, instead of that I have unable to read disc, yet this only happens with Summer Sports: Paradise Island, Mario Kart and Heavenly Guardian, all of which are new games. I've tried using different media, slower burning, different burner/program and yet still these 3 games have the same error, yet the the chip/jumpers are all working perfectly, all prior to 3.1U firmware update games are working perfectly, originals and backups so...the $64k question is....how and why.
Now, with P.C games most protection such as Securom will do alot of disc checks not just one, i'm thinking with the newer update theres a new disc checking security in place after the first one, as with alot of the current chips, they turn themselves off after the intial protection is bypassed, i'm guessing the new protection then kicks in and then brings up those error messages, which means....some chips could be screwed that don't take into account the extra checks :/
