Please Help me in my 1st PS2 Unit. Im planning to install a HDD in my PS2 can u give some useful guide and info

Network Adaptor

Thats All.....

What do I need next and "how to guides" to continue this....

You need a HDAdvance disk to be able to play them off your PS2 hdd or you can get hdloader.elf and install it too your memory card to be able to play.

If you have a PS1 original disk you can make an exploit, so that you will be able to load hdloader from your mc to run the hdd.

Is there a way in saving game file instead of using my crappy 8mb PS2 card

Maxtor or Seagate are compatible hdd, stay away from Western Digital as they don't fit the network adaptor without modifying it.

There is a way to save to usb device but its long winded to do it.

Its not necessary if your only wanting to play games off the hard drive.

But you do need a way to be able to load hdloader.elf to play games off the hard drive.

You have quite a few options depending upon what else you want from your PS2.

If you want also to play backups you will need either a modchip, memor32 card, Swap Magic, or to install an exploit.

There are methods also using Ar Max, Codebreaker and a usb flash drive to be able to launch elf files.

If your meaning the hdloader.elf file
They are different sizes depending which one you use.

I use one that is almost 1.11mb but most are 507KB or 781KB

I mostly use hdloader8c so I can play GOWII.

And no its fine to ask questions, but you also need to do some reading yourself.

The faqs tell you most everything you need to get started.
