I have a few general PS2 questions and thought this would be the place to get help. I tried to search for the answers, but got a little confused by the responses. I appreciate all of your help.
Basically I want to play PS2 games that I have gotten from torrent sites. I have ordered swap magic 3.6 offline, but wanted to know if there was additional software that I would need to play these torrent games. From looking at the details of the games online, they are all compressed in .rar or .zip files. I'm guessing that they are ISO's; please let me know if I am wrong. But if they are just ISO's, would I just have to mount the image to a CD/DVD, put Swap Magic in my console, then switch the games. Am I missing any key steps.

Open Winrar and go to OPTIONS/SETTINGS/FILE INTERGRATION and untick the ISO tab.
You will first extract the .rar files with winrar From that you will get an ISO file.
You can then get imgburn in which you will use to write the ISO file to a DVD-R, preferrably Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Sony , or Fuji. The first two are the best to use.
Depending upon which PS2 you have - FAT or SLIM
you will need the Swap Tool Pro V4 or fliptop for the slim, or slide tool or fliptop for the FAT.
Then just load your Swap Magic DVD, once the screen appears with NORMAL etc.
Switch discs, press X and choose the region of your PS2 whether the backup is PAL or NTSC (always choose your region)
