Hello All,
I own a modded Wii with the D2PRO chip. I have recently been trying out the Twilight Hack but do not seem to be able to get it to work. If anyone can give me a step by step instructions on how to do it or a video, it would be great. I already tried the official website but don't understand what they mean.

What part don't you understand. Remember that your SD card must be no bigger than 2Gigs, and must be formatted to FAT16 or FAT32. You also need to make sure you are using the right save file, putting it in the right folders on your SD card, and make sure you rename the save file to data.bin not nzde.bin or whatever it is originally.

I don't get how to set up all the root folders and rename the files. It's very confusing on the Twilight Hack website.

Here's the easiest way to get it set up...
1. Create a regular save file for TP (if you have been playing the game, then use the one you have).
2. Copy this file onto your SD card.
3. Put your SD card in your computer and you will notice that you now have the folder structure you need (that is, there will be /private/wii/title/RZDx/ and data.bin will be in there).
4. If you want to keep this save file, then move it somewhere else on your computer.
5. Put the correct hacked save file in the folder RZDx and rename it to data.bin
6. If you are trying to boot one of the elf files, then you need to put the file at the root of your SD card (root is the uppermost directory) and rename the file boot.elf
7. Put the SD card in your wii, copy the hacked save file over to the wii, start up TP, and you're done.

Hey I just got TP hack working. So I want to use the wad installer and get some VC games. But however I try to load I get the FAT_ReadFile(boot.elf) failed with error -1
What do you do from here. I reformed the sd card, rearranged the file in it. I am out of ideas. Please Help if you can.

According to Wiibrew we get that error because we need to reformat our sd card. But I reformated it three times. I even used the tool on their site. If anyone can reply, that would be great.

has anyone had any problems with the wad files on their system yet? i mean has it messed with the wii system at all, are you still able to play games originals and back ups?

It won't mess up your system unless you are stupid and try to install like 50 VC games at once. Since you don't have enough memory for all of them, the Wii will give you errors and you will probably have to reformat.
As long as you install one at a time then you should be fine.

Got a couple of questions
1) Is a genuine copy of Zelda TP required or can I use a backup with my modded Wii?
2) Will the Twilight hack work on NTSC consoles?
3) Are there any restrictions to this like do I have to use NTSC WAD files and NTSC copy of TP (I don't have region free).

1) No, it does not have to be genuine. My copy is a backup and works perfectly fine with the Twilight Hack
2)Yes, it should work on all consoles.
3)Yes, you have to use WAD files that are you rregion or else they don't work. I have an NTSC and I tried loading PAL VC Games and thye wouldn't start up but the NTSC ones worked like a charm.

you DEFINATLY need NTSC-U wad files if you have a US wii. do NOT try to use wad files from a different region. that would be a VERY bad idea.
you dont need an NTSC copy of zelda if you have region free turned on on your chip. but if you have it off then yes, you do need a US copy of zelda.

There is a Wii installer ISO disk and Uninstaller files already out that is easy to use instead of the twilight hack here is the link:

Also when doing the uninstall go to this webpage that it tells u how to uninstall them.

Thanks for replying to our problem. I found the ISO a few days ago. I was more interested in doing the twilight hack for my friend's unmodded wii. I guess it every modded wii for its self :)

From my understanding, you need to reformat, after you place the neccessary files on the sd card, you need to "safely remove hardware" in windows. Its the little USB plug with a check mark icon in the taskbar. I've done that every time and never had an issue. Also, it seems to have issues with macs, so using windows(unfortunately) appears to be best.

Well it's quite obvious that you are probably using a pirated copy so you would have to check the source of where you got it.

hi i have a pal wii with wiikey 3.2e wii fw 1.9s wiikey fw ,
i have backud up my tp save file to my computer ,
formatted to fat and have the hack set up right on my sd card E:\private\wii\title\RZDP with rzdp0.bin hack
the hack wont show up on my wii save data / sd card
why
ps, using kingston 256mb

hi i need some help i want to play super 3 as a vc i have the twilight and the zelda game and a sd card i have tried loads of times and when it gets to the screen where there is a lots of code it just dose northing like if freezes just to make sure i am doing it right i put the file from the folder wadinstaller and name it boot.elf on the root of the sd card i also put super mario on the root of the sd but rename it to title.wad with the save point on the sd card i change it to waht ever region of game i have and rename it to data.bin . now put it in the wii erase the save point on the wii and copy it over run the game and it should work only mine dont so can abody help me
