DBOX
Rectifying technical difficulties with you DBOX.
Firstly on your PC download the BigMAQ toolbar. Just type in http://bigmaq.ourtoolbar.com/ this will take you directly to the site and click download and install.
Now look for the tab on your new toolbar that says Latest Keys. Click on this and follow the link through Pure NTL(50 41) this will give you the latest codes.
Make a note of the codes, at the moment (April 28, 2008) they are:
Key 0 = 88 D4 F7 FE 5A 41 91 EC
Key 1 = F0 D9 2C F6 A8 D3 D1 2F
I?m not sure if they are case sensitive? I just input them in as they were ALL CAPS, you do they same,
( I?ll explain how to do this later)
Make sure your DBOX is on along with your TV. Look at your remote control and press the blue button.
This will take you into the menu that has an option called Tuxbox commander sometimes refered to as Tuxcom (file manager).
Now scroll down and look for a folder called ?var?.
Note: it may be up or down and it could be on the other side of your screen if you have a split screen. Look it will be there, take your time.
When you find it press OK on your remote (usually the centre button).
Now scroll down and look for a folder called ?keys? and press OK.
Now scroll down and look for a folder called ?keylist.txt? when you are on this folder press 4 on your remote. This allows you to edit.
Now press the yellow button on your remote this will ensure that any letters are ALL CAPS.
Look at your screen. You will see a few lines of code. Don?t panic. Try moving up and down the line of code using the arrows on your remote, also select a line of code by pressing the OK button and move left and right using the arrows on your remote?easy?
OK now you?ve go a feel for the remote, select the line of code starting with N 5401 00. You should note that when we made a copy of the codes one was 0 and the other 01. Obviously the code we are now going to change is the 00.
Select the line of code starting N 5401 00 and move left using the arrow keys on your remote to start changing the first numbers after 00 to 88 D4 F7 FE 5A 41 91 EC. Select the first digit or letter and on you remote press the 8 key 4 times you?ll notice letters for the first three and then 8 will appear. Move left and do the same again. Your remote is set up like the old telephone dial with numbers and letters grouped together.
So 2 has ABC & 3 has DEF.
When you?ve changed N 5401 00 press OK on the remote and move to the other line of code N 5401 01.
Do exactly the same so that both these lines of code now have their new numbers as shown on the next page.

Press OK
SAVE CHANGES, I save by pressing the HOME button on my remote and then I?m asked to ?save changes?, I then click the red button on my remote.
Lastly you should deactivate your auto update. Press the blue button again click on Sporster the click on emu settings,evocamd and then emu/auto update and deactivate. Now reboot the DBOX. Job done !
