I need a little help with playing imports

I would like to play imports on my Fat PS2. I was wondering what would work best in peoples opinions? Modchip or a swap magic? I haven't done this sort of thing before myself so any help would be appreciated.

Swapmagic definitely for beginners. A modchip is better in the long run but if your not familiar with a soldering iron, it can be tough.

Do all versions let you play imports for PS2 and PS Originals? And backups of both? Also where can I find a Swap Magic would I have to order it online or could I find it in town somewhere? You have to use a slide card for the fat PS2s right?

Both versions of swapmagic (v3.6 and v3.8) will play ps2 backups. Neither will play ps1 backups, you will need a ps1 swapdisc (like breaker pro). Swapmagic would have to be ordered online or bought from a person near you.

You can use either a slide card or a flip-top on a fat.
