Hi our dbox kept locking so we tried scanning new channels we tried 2 or 3 times now it just comes on to a red light and nothing happens? we dont have a clue about these things and are contemplating just buying a new one. but i think the problem could be fixed. i am willing to pay for any help that allows me to do that.

Hi,

What type of Dbox is it? Nokia? Sagem?
Are you able to access any of the menus on the dbox using the remote control? If so, can you confirm the following:

Press dbox on the remote (2nd button under the power button)
Select Service Option
Select Image information Option

Post the image name and version, and we'll be able to give some more advice. Also, what area are you in, I'm based in Nottingham, if your close by I may be able to help out.

Regards
Zak

Hi m8

Did u flash the box? If yes then you might not have flashed the right image.

First of all check, Is it 1 chip box or 2 chp, Then flash the box with the right image.

If the you flash the box with wrong or cropted image, It will not bootup.

If you need more information plz pm me....Goodluck

when you say locking up, in what sense , ie do the channels freeze or what

You state you have a Sagem and they have renowned for freezing, to fix this you need to remote the modem card from the DBox, this does not hinder the DBox at all as you will never use the modem card.
