i was reading the 360mod textbook it says "Select the drive from the list and it should go to a port error. Count to ten, then power the Xbox 360 back on, and it should dump the firmware. Your timing will vary based on the drive. Some work with waiting three seconds, some 5, some ten, some more. Just keep at it, you?ll get it eventually." ive also seen the video where he got it to work. does this mean you have to power up the 360 Simultaneously or it wont work. and how do you keep trying? shut down pc restart the process.

Shut off the 360 when you get to the part to select the drive... choose the drive.... count to ten... power on 360.. should begin to dump at this point... follow same procedure for flashing.... The majority of Samsungs I have done worked at exactly 10 seconds... I have only came across 1 that gave me problems... and you just have to try different timings... 3 secs, 5 secs, 7, 12... if 10 doesnt' work... If you have problems and it doesn't dump then reboot your PC and start over and try again... you can't hurt anything... just don't turn the pc or 360 off when it is dumping and flashing... You sound like you pretty much have it down..... Good Luck....
