I've had my PS3 from day 1 and had it connected wirelessly to my computer through a Netgear router. It connects to the internet fine and would play multi-player games fine. While getting geared up for GTA IV, I was worried about lag time so, I hardwired it to my router through an ethernet cable. Now during the network test everything passes except UPnP fails. My PS3 will log onto the Playstation network, it will update the firmware fine, but it won't allow me to play multi-player portion of on-line games ie: GTA IV, Mortal Kombat II, etc... Any ideas??

I guess that the servers are severly locked up, my bad, I never got to try the multiplayer yet!!!!
No its somethign wrong with that cuz I noticed the same thing on my settings. I dont see what its preventing mefrom doing. I read an article (not AFD) that your router has to support UPNP. THink it has soemting to do with media servers. I thought mine support UPNP because I never noticed this not available status for the UPNP setting. I have a 2wire router and didnt know wether I had it or not.
