Hi,

I am not sure what forum this needs to be posted to, so I am trying here...

I recently purchased a Sony HDR-SR12 HD camcorder and it records to MTS files. Adobe Premiere CS3 is sluggish to no end when attempting to edit these files natively. I have the MainConcept Pro HD v3 plugin, and with that I am able to transcode the file to HDTV 1080 50i/60i (1920x1080) and that works fine. Once that is done I can edit it properly in Premiere. My only issue is that I have to manually do this for each little clip that I have.

Is there a program that will batch convert these MTS files to a more useable format. I tried the Mainconcept Reference v1.1.1, but it does not seem to let me convert it to a 1920x1080 format. I can convert to HD3 1440x1080, but I want to keep the max resolution of the video.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can do this? I am new to digital camcoders.

Thanks!

EW
