Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. has reported soaring profits for the first quarter of 2008 compared with the same period of the previous year. Since Panasonic is doing real well, they should provide firmware upgrades for all external and internal recorder drives. They manufacture but don't provide any support for recorder drives, I've been searching their site for any firmware for the last 3 years nada. Internal laptops most of the time use these drives because they are cheap to produce, like the drives Toshiba uses in their laptops.
