I am having a problem with DVDFab Platinum 4 and the updated 5 beta version. This problem happens with all movies, not just one. I have an error "Reading/Writing Error Control. Error while reading! Please choose what to do. Retry/Abort/Ignore/Ignore All." I am not sure if this is the right place on the forum to post this. I see a place to check in settings to "Ignore all errors," but was not sure if this would affect the burning of the DVD. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, WolfpackRon.

Have you tried any other ripping software to rule out that it's not your drive causing the problem?
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Yo I have the same problem with some of my DVD's. I ripped Harlem Nights. then I tryed to rip Four Brothers and it said that there was a copy protection and do we want to use the pathfinder or something. Then it restarts dvdfab and it gets about 40% of the process and the noise from the dvd burner dies out. the light blinks and it keeps pushing like it trying to read something but it dont. So i tryed to use Any dvd and that dont work either. so i dont know

Is there any way you can borrow an external drive and try that( to see if that works and know that you drive is the issue)

you know im not sure if my brother has one. but I will say. That i just burned 2 more movies so im sure its not the burner. ive even put some burnt copies in my burner and made duplicates. Im think it might be a new protection that not every program can rip. but then what program does it. dvdfab or anydvd wont do it. I tryed anydvd also

I have sent the log info to DVDFab for analysis. I will see what happens. I have burned stuff on this burner with Nero and it seems to work OK. Is there not a burner test application available? Thanks, WolfpackRon.

Hey have you been able to figure out the program. I just used NEVER DIE ALONE and made a clone. Then i tryed Four Brothers again. and its freezes up. So I still dont know whats wrong. Maybe its Four Brothers Maybe. THey have some type of PIMP ass protection because dvdfab runs pathfinder and still cant clone a copy for me.

Sounds like the disk your attempting to rip has damaged sectors, perhaps a scratch that won't let the dvd burner see the data, try ripping on another comp & see if t does the same.
