Hi,
I upgraded my PSP to 3.90 M33-3 recently and soon after that while I was playing Final Fantasy the graphic shrinked and the screen blanked and the PSP shuts off by itself.
I thought it was broken at beggining but then I found out that as long as I have the power cord plugged in I can start the PSP without problem and then after the PSP started I can put in the battery and play the game off the battery. But if I turn off the PSP in the middle of the game and try to start PSP off the battery its the same result (Green light only with no display and the power button won't even response until I take out the battery.) I tried to get a brand new battery with no luck.
I try to go into recovery model and turn the PSP into 1.5 so I can make a pandora battery but I won't be able to run the battery creator.
Anyone have any idea what happen to my phat PSP or it is a hardware damage?
Thanks
HY

sounds like your batterys still a pandora one. use upms to make random eeprom if you didnt back up the eeprom if you did you can use it to restore the eeprom. or you can use noobz pandoras battery creater to make it into auto on battery or restore the eeprom.
hope that helps

Hi,
I thought about that too but even the new battery I bought also does the same thing and I never tried to convert that battery into a pandora battery.
I been also try to go into the recovery model and boot into 1.5 firmware then use the battery creator to make a new one but with no luck. Is there a battery creator that will run on 3.9 M33-3 firmware?
Thanks

This is not right.
No matter where I put the file it just won't show up in the PSP game menu. I tried to put that file under /PSP/GAME and I also tried to put it under /PSP/GAME/UPDATE nothing shows up and it kept tell me there are no games.
Any ideas?

Got the program working and made a pandora battery already. Now I got into new problem, tried to downloaded the installer (pbfirm_install) put both folder into the Game dir on the memory stick and tried to run it but the psp kept tell me that "The game could not be started" 80020148.
Any idea how to get through that?
I also tried to go into recovery model and changed the firmware to 1.5 and still got same problem.
Thanks

Since I can't run the creator, I can't make a memory stick and I am just stuck here now.
Is there any creator that can run from 3.9 M33-3?
Thanks

Well I got another bad news, I downloaded UPMS V3 and ran the CSO file and erased the flash0 then I relize that I need the files on the memory stick which I don't have.
Anyone can let me know where I can get the files for the memory stick?
My PSP only shows the green light now.
Nothing else.
Thanks

Well I download the V4 of the UPMS and it worked with the firmware and I was able to downgrade back into 1.5 and the problem still exist (Cant turn on the PSP on battery alone, if I do that I will just get a blank screen with power light on forever. but if I plug in the ac cord and power on the PSP it worked fine and then I can unplug the PSP and use it as long as I don't turn it off.)
I was wish it was a software issue or a firmware issue but I guess its not unless someone can shine some light on this issue.
The only other thing I remembered was while I was playing the new Final Fantasy the screen just dispeared and the PSP shuts off on its own, after that I was able to turn it on once or twice but then I can no long turn on the PSP on battery anymore. I tested with 4 different batteries (one of them were brand new off the shelf)and all same result.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks

right to fix the battery not turning on you will need to restore the eeprom. if you used upmsv4 just go to 2nd option on the battery then chose create random serial and it should set your battery back to normal.
or you can select restore battery eeprom from ms0:/eeprom.bin that only if you backed it up if not dont select this
as for the ff thing well that a bit of a mistery to me but if it happens again it may be a problem with the hardware
also if the restoring the eeprom and making a random one doesnt work then its a hardware problem
