Hello,

I installed AutoGK today and ran a test drive and evrything seemed to be going along fine. The end result was an .avi file that AutoGk could recognize and Divx Player but Windows Media Player v.9.0 couldn't-why is that? WMP gave me a message saying that my file was either corrupt or the Player does not support the file I am trying to play?!?!? I went to the Microsoft site with my 'error code' "0xC00D1199" and was informed that the player can not play *.viv files, so I looked that up and it turns out to be some ancient code or codec...WHAT?!?!?! I have the newest versions of both AutoGk and Windows Media Player, a brand new Sony PCG GRT 170 laptop along with enough updated codecs to choke a cow and yet this silly little avi file I made might as well have come from the Ark of the Covenant? UGH!!!! I didn't change the settings in AutoGK(xvid or divx), I went with the Divx encoding with the sole purpose of being able to play my files in Windows Media Player and someday playing them on my pocket pc... if I could find some programs that worked and didn't make me want to hurl myself out the window. Maybe I don't understand the terms and file extensions...avi-divx-xvid-MPEG4 and so on arent these supposed to be Windows Media Player compatible?
