I've searched the forums and found nothing that pertains to my situation... ok here we go..
D2B chipset, 1.9s, 1.4 config used, and 3.2U fully updated.
so far, with Mario Galaxy and now Mario Kart, both are retail, the game plays for about 10 minutes and all of a sudden I get the screen that reads disc error.
now the thing is, if I play these games as backups, I don't seem to have the problem? I know... people are probably thinking.. then why not just play the backups? well that's not the point i'm coming across... for one.. I actually support software developers when I like the game, and 2 why would they not work? when all the others work just fine? that I can tell..
I have done the following which has temporarily worked but then stopped working again
I re-added the 1.9s firmware onto the wii and reset
I used config 1.4 and reset
-- I've tried region override off/on
-- I've tried 6x 3x DVDr speed
-- I've tried all combinations with the 1.9s firmware, from config 1.2 1.3 1.4 and all that stuff
Weird thing is, it'll work for hours on end, then all of a sudden disc error, then if I just reset and try again? disc error within minutes, as soon as I reinstall the firmware 1.9s and config 1.4 the game works again for a few hours and dies again
checked the wiikey, and it is installed perfectly.. contacts are perfect.. nothing wrong with it whatsoever?
guys.. any help would be awesome? any combinations I could try or missing? anyone have a similar problem to me?
