Hello everyone, I am very, very new to this, a total noob I shall say, I know almost nothing about xbox 360 modding and such...

I live in Mexico, and i bought an Xbox 360 in a little shop, it had a chip integrated the day I bought it, then about 7 monthes later, I got the death red ring, So i sent it to microsoft and they sent me another one, I went to the shop and they put another chip in there, and they cost me, then only a week later, I got that ring again, so I sent it to microsoft, they replaced it...

Then I went back to that shop, and they told me to put a fan, or an Air Condionate behind the xbox to avoid it getting burnt, so I did, and it worked, I had no problems since then !

The point is, they put a new chip in there.

My questions are the following :

The day I put a chip, I knew I was not going to play on xbox live with the pirate games I bought, but the point is that I bought Halo 3 Lengendary, and I am about to buy GTA 4, original, all my other games are pirates, and I don't play online with them, and don't care to do so...

My only question is, Can I play my 2 original games online with my modded xbox?

I have heard there is a chip that turns off if you insert an original xbox 360 game...How do I check if I had that chip ?

And then, if I play the original game on xbox live, are the probabilities less to get banned, or doesn't it changes anything ?

I mean, basically I wanna play GTA 4 online with no trouble, without wasting any more cash....You know ?

Thanks

you will still have a chance of getting banned, with/without chip, with/without back-ups.

If the chip has stealth features, or an on/off switch, turn it off and put in the original.

You have virtually no chance of being banned but they still have complicated methods to checking if you have a chip installed, however there are more people out there easier to detect not getting banned so I'd say your chances are practically none, or something close to 0.5% :]

no one knows what they do or how they do it so do not tell people on this forum the have a lesser of a chance of being caught if they have a chip. its not fair to them.
