I have a fat psp on 3.90 M33 firmware. Just tried to use a guide to upgrade my friends slim psp. But when I inserted mem card and battery it didn't work. Now when I put the battery back into my psp the green light just stays on and a black screen. Even when I plug in the power cable without the battery and turn it on, the green light comes on for a bit then goes away. Is my psp bricked or battery fried?

Your PSP is bricked, use a Pandoras Battery and Magic memory stick to unbrick it.
NOTE - your battery is not fried.

a link would help, as i dont want to mess up again. So the slim battery fits into a fat psp?

p.s. I tried my fat battery in 2 slim psp's and the same thing happens. As soon as i put the battery in, the green light comes on with black screen and i cant switch on the psp. Does that mean the there is something wrong with the battery and maybe my fat psp isnt bricked?

thanks for the help, but I managed to solve my problem by accident. I plugged in my slim psp on CFW in AC power only, then switched it on. I then inserted the fat psp battery that wasnt working on it. I then removed the AC cable and it still stayed on! This gave me time to enter the UPMS on the memory card and cancel the service mode of the battery and return it to normal. I then put the battery in to my fat psp and it works fine.

:)

p.s. Does that mean it was never bricked?
