360 video problems

I have had my 360 for a while now (1 and a half years) and got it modded right away. Last fall I had the RROD problem but got that fixed and have had not problems with that until now. Whenever I try to turn on my 360, I sometimes just get a black screen and can see a little bit of snow on my tv when i use the standard video cable that comes with the 360. After this happens, I will unplug all of the cords and (power and video) and let it sit for a little bit. Then I plug it back in and I will got the same problem about 75% of the time. When it does work, the video looks a little messed up and looks like it is tinted yellow.

Has anybody else had this problem? Can somebody please help me?

Some other side notes: I also have a VGA cable that I have bought separately and when I use that, I get the same problem. However, I do get audio through my speakers opposed to the other video cable where I don't get any audio.

if one vga cable works better than the other than my first guess would be the cable, second guess tv vga in, third guess 360 vga out.
