VOB doesn't always play

Hi;

Hi;

I have an HTML presentation on CD that contains a link to a video (VOB)file. Most users have no problem accessing and playing the VOB. Some users can't play it for some reasons and in the case of a few others,when they insert the CD in their PC, it skips the autorun that starts the HTML and launches the VOB.

My questions are:
Should I convert the VOB to a different format ? IF so, which one and how ?

What settings should the users be using so that the HTML launches instead of the video?

Should I be using DVD instead of a CD ? All the content fits on a Cd.

A vob file is a dvd audio/video file. In order to play this format you need to use a dvd playing program like Power DVD or to play just the vob file I suggest using VLC Media Player. I had no problems with it. Just open the file. VLC also plays many other formats the Windows Media doesn't play.

So it sounds like this should be converted to a format that most users of this CD will be able to view and hear on their "standard" players like the Windows media player.

How do I convert it to such a format ?

To make it easy for people to play this file on Windows Mdeia Player you should convert the file to MPEG, MP4 , or AVI.

Try using the program MediaCoder. Search it on google, first result. Import your file, then input the format, encoder, and the container you want the converted file to be in.
Then press convert!
