Hey everyone, I have swap magic 3.6 and have had success with getting a few games to work. However, I've been having some problems with a few other files (swapmagic reads "not a vaide ps2 disc". For instance, when I try to play MLB 2k8. I am running Mac OSX btw. I uncompressed the .rar files with stuffit expander and revealed the iso. (This is where I get confused). Should I just put the .iso file onto a dvd, or mount the image to reveal the data inside the iso, and burn that. I've been trying a bunch of different methods, and I can't figure out which one I used on the one that does work. I have Toast 8 Titanium, if that helps.
I think I may have right-clicked on the mounted image icon, and clicked "Toast It". I would appreciate any help you could give. Most of the tutorials I have seen deal with a PC.
When dealing with MLB 2K8, I mounted the images to see the files, but it did not work. The files shown were:
SLUS_217.29
SYSTEM.CNF
VCDATA (folder)
I was wondering if I should burn this "batch" or dig deeper..
so the ps2 can read an iso, lets say MLB2K8.iso
I don't need to mount it, then burn it.
because when I put in the one dvd-r that does work into my computer, I see all of the files and folders of when the iso is mounted. But on the 2K8 game that didn't work, when I put the disc into my computer, I just see the iso file, ready to be opened.
I think Toast can do that, I've heard of some people creating iso's with Toast.
If I have the iso in front of me in Finder, does anyone know what steps I should do on a Mac to get it to work with swap magic? or even what software for OSX is good to do the job?
