sorry new and clueless and need help please,i recently bought ironman(pal)i have a wii with a dc2 modchip which i have never been online with.it keeps asking me to update to play game but warns me it could ruin my modded wii i have a version 3.1e can i update via online or disk please help guys my boy going nuts ty

lol you mod your wii and then buy games?

but yea you can update it won't do anything to harm your wii.

All modchips have stealth mode, so there is absolutely no way nintendo can find out whether you modded your wii or not if you go online or update it.

Hi Abullet,

I have d2c chip in my Wii and 3.2 firmware. Got Boom Blox and requires firmware update but im quite scared to go online. Can you confirm if it worked or not please?

Also since chipping your Wii have you tried using the weather/news channel at all?

Some people actually do use it to "back up" Their games.. :)

games from the same region as the wii (or WiiBrickBlocked) wont brick it regardless of whether it's modded or not.
