1. What is the quickest way to go from any firmware to a 3.80 m33-5? Do I have to go to 1.50 - 3.52 m33 - 3.52 m33-4 - 3.71 m33 - 3.80 - 3.80 m33-5.
2. My psp loads up but the O loading sign in the corner of the screen stays there and I cannot do anything. I can access recovery mode though.
Please Help.

1. Yes you have to go to that versions cause it requires that.

2. In recovery mode go to advanced-->Format flash1 and reset settings

Hmm.. Maybe a bad flash. Because it helped me when I downgraded both
Phat and Slim using Pandora when it froze during startup.

Try reflashing your PSP but this time try 3.71m33

if you can access the recovery mode you can use that to create the pandoras battery then you can go direct to 3.71m33 no probs

use this guide

works for fat as well and it will install cfw 3.71m33 and that should fix the prob

hope that all works

(note if you have vista foget about the magic memory stick making part you'll have to find one that works on vista but the pandoras battery part should work)

I followed this guide but when I went to update to a 3.80 m33 it worked but once it rebooted it happened again. Why is this happening?

this is a bit of a long shot but try changing the theme with a custom one (back up the old one)

it a long shot but found when i had a problem with save (after changing the click sounds) replacing the theme with a custom one fixed it.

apart from that theres not much i can think of to fix it
