noob need help how to put custom fonts on psp slim 3.71 m33-3

Download the custom theme you want, make sure it's for the firmware you have(3.71M33) then go into recovery (power off till all lights are out)power on holding the R trigger. Scroll down to Advanced then toggle Flash0 with usb cable connected. Copy all the folders in your flash0 to a safe folder on your computer then drag and drop the new flash files (usually Font and VSH) to your flash0 folder. Toggle flash0 again to exit usb then back and exit and the psp will restart with your new theme. goto theme in your Xmb and change the background color to your choice.

I think that if you might not be so savvy with customization that youd try using an application to install these fonts. Altering flash takes a bit of knowledge, if not changed properly you'll brick your baby.

Also try CXMB or wpchanger
they don't touch flash
Want ISO's Rip them from the UMD.

fonts are easy there in the fonts folder and you just replace the old ones with the new custom ones
but i find that most custom fonts are naff as you can only just read them
there is a program where you can change ttf to the psp font types but i forgot what is called just google around for it

yer the flash1 has become corrupt just press o and it will reset it
you will have to change the data and name e.t.c

carn down its not anything to worry about.
the flash1 just store the time and date internet connections nothing that make the console run.
did you mange to change the font then?

and ughhhhhhhhhhhh i could go back to xmb
but the icons of settings,network are gone
the game xmb folder i only see memstick
the music xmb normal
the video xmb normal
the camera xmb no camera icon
how can i get the icons back

did you back up the flash0?
if so replace anything that you deleted in fonts and vhs or copied over with a custom one.
the icons are in the top_menu_plugin.rco
if none of that just use pandoras to reflash back to normal
and then next time make sure that you know what your doing other wise it will case a brick

Told you bro, you should of used an application if you couldn't change the font. Hopefully you have a pandora. Now you need a back up flash0, which is more flash serious.

in the ms folder in the gamemenu
i can still see my games
but when i play my games
the games only at the psp logo and when my psp
has a umd in it it freezes in 2sec when it reads
and theres no more "sony computer entertainment presents" logo
i forgot my xmb flash0 back up was for my cfw:
371 m33-3

what file did you replace or delete (iv been looking for this one for ages unless its the gameboot.pmf you delete)
if it was the gameboot.pmf that you delete then i should think its fine to put the one for 3.71 into your cfw

like dr1ver said. perhaps you wont need a back up and all you need is a pmf. when you put files in your flash did it say "replace".

People usually look online for backups of those files, which is risky. If you have access to a pandora go with that.

Theres probably a lot of ppl looking for this link. Hopefully it is ok to post this. Didn't want to PM, just in case others needed it.
Beware tho, I tried this a while back ago and I completely bricked my psp. Good thing I had a pandy.

Youre telling me you held R and went to the menu and changed the flash0?
Thats what you are suppose to do if it is semi brick and you have no pandora. Like I said it is risky. If you try this you might not even have a semi. That back up link I gave you is a risky alternative.
