GameCube/Wii SD Media Launcher?

Hi everyone.

I have a question on the latest SD launcher from Code Junkies.

If I buy the launcher and opt to use my own SD cards, what is the largest SD card I can use? I currently have a 16GB card and a 2 GB card.

Also, with regards to backups of games. Is it possible for me to rip a game like Phantasy Star Online and then play or boot it directly off the SD card without having to use the original or a copied mini or standard DVD-R disk?

I'm new to this whole GC mod scene and would like to get these questions answered before I go buying equipment. If there is a way to load and play games off of SD without the need of a physical DVD, then I'd prefer to go that route.
