I come home today from school.

There is no disc in my 360 tray.

I play some games (XBLA)

Then, I want to put GTA IV in.

Disc tray is jammed, won't open.

Try it a few more times, not the first time it happens.

Still dosen't work.

My dad comes home.

He helpes me remove the faceplate and manually eject tray.

I can manually eject tray, but it still gets stuck all the time.

What do I do? :'( I have an important RB6V game on sunday.

I'm not sure. There is no disc inside. I removed the faceplate. But it just won't eject.

sounds to me like either the gear is off the slide thing, which is highly unlikely, or the gear motor is broken.

After you manually eject the tray... leave the tray out and unplug the box and make sure it has no power.. now look inside the front of the drive and you will see a little belt on 3 wheels... You will have to hold the drive tray out or it will slip back in.... take some tweezers and slip the belt off... chances are the belt is slipping and that is the problem... if you go to a computer store you might be able to find a replacement belt.. but I simply went to Walmart and got some pony tail rubber bands that were the same size... put one of them on and it worked...

The real parts do exist.. and people have found supplies. Often a good clean with some soapy water will do the trick for a while, but eventually the damn thing stretches. Must be poor quality to begin with..

Got any defunct cd-rom drives about?? ask a local computer scrap shop.. they will probably have some that are heading for recycling.. These parts seem pretty standard. I use the ones found in just about any old cd-rom drives... or a good google will find exactly the part..sorry.. can't for the life of me remember the actual "official" samsung part number.

Personally if you are not familiar with how to fix it i would take it to someone who is. Have them take a look at it.

My sammy ms25 drive sticks. Took it apart many times and tried to figure it out...no such luck for me. The good thing is all I have to do after hitting eject is push on the tray (front bezel) and it will come out. If there is a game in there it ejects without issue.

yea if your dad had to help you get the faceplate off, you had better see a professional.

Taking the faceplate off was not that hard when we figured out how to. The hard part was to get it to manually eject. And it still jams in there. WTF?

Is there an EASY way out? :P

I just got a 360 in with this same problem. If/when I figure it out, I'll let you know.

I haven't looked into yet.

I agree, you should either sell it and get a new one, or take it to somebody.
