Problem with Windows Set up

My gateway laptop got a virus yesterday and I decided it would be easiest just to do a full system restore. It restored fine, but when the windows setup began it said it was reinstalling my screen, keyboard, and other hardware. The progress bar got to halfway and my computer stopped responding. After letting it go for sometime I turned off my computer and tried again, but it always stops at the same place. Any ideas how I can get windows to install properly? Thanks.
