My friend psp crashes if he presses a button to early at startup or sometimes he will click something and it will load forever or psp will just crash and sometime it will bluescreen/redscreen hes had this prob b4 he had cfw ive tryed formating his flash1(multiple times) pretty much just bluescreens right after in the date/time menu so im guessing its prob just a defective psp but ive found that if he sets xmb speed to 166 if he just dont press anything till the ttime shows up his psp will run fine are there any negative effect to setting xmb speed to 166 will his video music or anything eles play slower? Anyone have any idea of a fix?

humm its odd that it crashes at high clock speeds could be a problem with the cpu (did he ever drop it or somethig like that) also do games run fine when at 333mhz?

there are no real problems with setting the xmb cpu to 166 unless you are playing very heavy movies and that might make it crash or stutter

apart from that there are no problem that i can see

yea games run fine even when the xmb speed is at default as long as they start
