sorry to ask guys, there seem to be different requirements for different units and models and i am struggling to determine what action i should take.

ok i have what i believe to be a phat psp??? not entirely sure.

i am on 3.52 ofw and want to get to 3.90m33-3.

i have recieved info on the upgrade but the guide i read states that i need to mod the battery and buy a new one, but i beleive i can do this with software?

ive been looking into it but the guides contradict one another in places and some simply outdate others leaving older info usless.


my battery has the serial: 2-582-224-15 if this helps, can some body please tell me what i need to do? or if and what information i need to provide in order to find out??

you can only flash the battery if you know someone with a custom firmware psp. otherwise, you have to hardmod or buy the datel tool battery.
