Ok let me explain this in full.

I've been trying to put the DVD sections of my language courses on my iPod. I bought these in China (legit, I'm learning Chinese) I don't know if this is some problem caused by the encoding or what, but heres the problem.

I used MacTheRipper to copy the DVD. To put the lessens on my iPod I used HandBrake but when I select the VIDEO_TS file it only shows one chapter available and it's only 58sec long. I have also tried to use DVD2oneX and the disc copy to separate the chapters but this also says that there is only one chapter and it is 58sec long.

When I first copied the DVD it said there were bad sectors but I played it though (heard that can solve the problem) and asked it to copy again and had not problem. So theoretically there should be no problem with the copy. I have tested using the VIDEO_TS file in the DVD player and I can watch all the lessens with no problem and I've also used HandBrake before with no problem. In the past I've used HandBrake for DVD's from this lesson program and have been able to use it to separate the lessons as separate chapters.

As a solution I even tried importing the VOB file into iMovie and separated them and save as Quicktime movies, but the problem is that there were only 3 VOB files in the VIDEO_TS file and not all the lessons would show in iMovie (only 9 of 22).

Does anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it so that I can separate each of the chapters out?
